Pedro Gutierrez Zamora was born in Mexico City in 1953. 

Throughout his artistic career he has received several awards, among them: second place prize awarded for excellence in artistic representation exhibition organized by Excelsior Newspaper in Mexico City 1965; Merit Prize awarded for excellence in creative expression, Mexico City 1970; second place prize awarded for superiority in craftsmanship in an exhibition organized by the National Polytechnic Institute 1973.

Since 1973 he worked as apprenticeship in the workshop of Maestro David Alfaro Siqueiros. He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions: in the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the Transformation Industry National Chamber, Domecq Cultural Foundation, among others.
